K is for Key

If you had the key to this door, what do you think you would find on the other side?

  1. Wow, that is a story worthy door if ever I saw one. I'd hope a ladder leading down, with strange music drifting up from below... Sadly I'd be too chicken to actually go down there (I'm not crazy).

  2. mood: It's great, isn't it? It's in the middle of the street not far from where I live. I found a door in a tree recently, too!

  3. Hmmm...I probably won't go in there myself - rather claustrophobic, you see, but that would make a good location for one of those Famous Five adventures, don't you think?

  4. Emm...well the obvious answer is Hobbits. I'm thinking it's actually the door to my new eco-friendly writing room!

Glad to have found you through the A to Z Challenge.

  5. Actually, I thought it was some kind of secret garden, but perhaps that's too obvious. Maybe it leads to an underground cave.

  6. What a great story door! I think it leads to a parallel universe where the earth is still perfect. People on the other side are putting together a mission - brave souls will have to venture forth into our world and try to reign in the destruction we've wreaked on earth, but they are not acclimated to the pollution, so their lives are in danger and their time is limited. If they don't reverse the destruction, both our world and theirs may end.... Or maybe elves live there :)

  7. The door is a portal to the neverending story of our subconscious and we all have it within us. Isn't that great? You did find the most magical door, Alison.

  8. I do have the key! It's my house. Green is my favorite color (I painted the door myself). I had the entire house specially designed for my short stature.

The house is completely underground. The door leads down steps into the living area. There is a tiny kitchen, bedroom and bath. It will be featured on Amazing Homes this June!

How's that for imagination? Fun post!

  11. With my luck it would be a toilet. But then hopefully you flush yourself someplace like Harry Potter! :)
